We had the day off today and got to visit the Bua Thong Waterfall. This was one of the most unique waterfalls we have ever seen. It is nicknamed the "sticky waterfall" because it is made up of 5 levels of multi-tiered limestone and mineral deposits that create enough friction on the rocks to prevent slipping while climbing. The rocks felt rough under your feet but not in a way that made your feet hurt. Actually, it was "sticky" enough that most of us wore shoes to climb the rocks that were flowing with fast water. Interesting right?
One could easily spend an entire day here climbing the falls, walking the beautiful grounds, and swimming in the crystal clear pools of water at the base of the falls. We were truly thankful for such an amazing experience!
